…..consciously redirect our attention to energising and restorative sessions from a variety of poses (asanas) to increase awareness of the body to be present with each moment. Mushin-No-Shin a moving meditation
We practice meditation to consciously redirect our attention. During meditation, the mind becomes clear, relaxed, and inwardly focused. The mind is not focused on the external world or on the events taking place around you and this inner state is still and one-pointed so that the mind becomes silent. With regular practice, you will notice improved concentration, reduced anxiety and stress and increased awareness and clarity of thought.
Practicing this way can reduce stress and aid relaxation. Scientists are now learning the mechanisms behind how this lowers stress. Persistent surges of stress hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol, may damage blood vessels and elevate blood pressure.
However, research has shown that people who practice yoga regularly have lower cortisol levels.
Although most people feel anxious from time to time, anxiety is also a symptom of many conditions, including panic disorder & social anxiety.
With regular practice it enhances concentration, relaxation, co-ordination, physical and mental confidence and peace. It is a great way to access higher levels of energy, maintain a calm state and align body, mind and spirit- the peaceful way.
The overall experience is spiritual delivered from physical, mental, and emotional practice that in part originated in ancient India, was developed further in the Far East and explores modern day research to enable continuous improvement.
Whilst there are many types of yoga, each with its own unique focus and benefits. We draw our practice from the following yoga, subject to the practice on the night:
- Hatha Yoga: This is a slow and mindful style of yoga that focuses on physical postures and breathing exercises. Its great for beginners.
- Vinyasa Yoga: This style of yoga is characterized by flowing movements that are synchronized with the breath.
- Yin Yoga: This is a deep and passive style of yoga that involves holding poses for several minutes at a time.
